The Role

We are looking for a motivated and well-spoken Business Development Representative to join our sales team. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. You should be able to set appointments for regional sales persons, close sales on your own, and meet various sales and lead targets. To be successful as an Inside Sales Representative you should be detailed orientated, able to build rapport with prospects, be competitive, and be an active listener.

Responsibilities

  • Making outbound calls to potential customers and identifying sales opportunities
  • Researching and qualifying new leads from in house and third party resources
  • Following up on active leads from Marketing campaigns to convert
  • Creating and maintaining a database potential customers
  • Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services
  • Closing sales and achieving sales targets (Small Business)
  • Set up appointments of qualified targets for outside sales (Mid-Market / Enterprise)
  • Keeping up with our product and service information and updates


Requirements

  • College or Associates Degree- preferably in communications or business
  • Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related inside sales position
  • Previous experience in High School, Club, or Collegiate sports preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Salesforce.com and HubSpot
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Excellent phone and cold calling skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong listening and sales skills
  • Ability to achieve targets
  • Maintaining Salesforce and HubSpot CRM and marketing contact information



This role can be based in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, ID, IL, OH, PA, SC, or TN.

This position is eligible to participate in a commission plan, medical, dental, disability, paid time off, and 401(k) plans. Colorado's 2021 Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires an estimated base range for this position: $50,000 - $65,000/year. Actual range is based on fair market value of the role in the geography in which you live based on requirements of the job and your skills. This posted range is a good faith and reasonable estimate. Derive Systems reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
